Hirwaun RFC are delighted to announce their first off season of versatile and experienced front row/wing Matt Price. Matt started his career in Deri and played his youth rugby between Bargoed, Penallta and Bedwas. Also representing East Wales before a few injuries enforced a season out. Upon his return he represented UWIC at under 19's. A transfer back to Bargoed once his studies where complete and then on to Oakdale where he has enjoyed several years.

For personal reasons Matt took a few years out to focus on his business interests but has continued to train and keep his fitness levels. Hirwuan RFC have fought off stiff competition to get Matt on board and we are very excited to have him not only on the field but also off the field.

Huw Morris – Forwards Coach added “Matt will be a great addition to our forwards, with lots of experience and a deep desire to win. He will be a great fit around the changing rooms and gel straight away with the team. We all know what our ambition is this year and a true statement of intent as a club”
